PAN Card Photo & Signature Size for NSDL (Protean) and UTIITSL
Photo and signature sizes used by the PAN application portals, and what to do when one size is rejected.
You can apply for a new PAN or corrections through two portals: Protean (formerly NSDL) and UTIITSL. When you upload documents yourself, the photo and signature must match the portal's size.

Guidance from the portals has used both the square and rectangular photo sizes over time. If your form doesn't state one, try the square first and switch to rectangular if it's refused.
