NEET UG Photo Guide: Passport Photo, Postcard Photo, Name & Date
What NTA asks for in NEET UG: passport and 4×6 postcard photos, name and date on the photo, signature and thumb impressions.
NEET UG applications ask for more photos than most exams. NTA expects a passport-size photo, a postcard-size (4 × 6 inch) photo, your signature and finger/thumb impressions, all as JPG files.
Photo rules that trip people up
- Name and date on the photo: NTA guidance asks for your name and the date of taking the photograph printed on it.
- White background with about 80% of the face visible, including ears, and no mask.
- Recent photo: it should reflect how you look now; keep extra prints — you may need the same photo at the exam centre.

For the signature we use 10–30 KB because published figures differ between years (4–30 KB and 10–50 KB); 10–30 KB satisfies both.
