e-Aadhaar PDF password
The e-Aadhaar PDF downloaded from UIDAI is password-protected. The password is the first four letters of your name in CAPITALS followed by your year of birth (YYYY). Example: name Rahul Kumar, born 1998 → RAHU1998.
If a portal can't accept protected PDFs, remove the password with Unlock PDF (you need the password).

A masked Aadhaar hides the first 8 digits of the number and shows only the last 4. UIDAI suggests using it where the full number isn't required, to reduce misuse. You can choose “masked” while downloading e-Aadhaar from UIDAI.
